Description

Input shipment details for logistics tracking and inventory. Manage Supply Chain, starting with knowledge of required product labeling and documentation for government compliance and customer requirements. Coordinate with customers & freight carriers for proper delivery schedule. Inventory control management for traceability. Maintain accurate inventory and Accounts Receivable system for monthly accounting reconciliation. Approve invoices and ensure payment for all Logistics related charges.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create/maintain Excel production reports to manage inventory levels.
  • Work closely with CAPS Sales Representatives and customers to determine destination and timing of shipments
  • Maintain courteous, prompt and efficient customer relations
  • Coordinate all inventory shipment bookings, continuously update shipment details as they progress.
  • Confirm Offload tallies for Crew Share payroll and inventory reconciliation
  • Ensure all proper documents for export shipments are issued in timely manner
  • Knowledge of labeling requirements for export to various countries
  • Proof drafts and Verify that all shipping documents are accurate and complete
  • Oversee and complete prompt, accurate billing to customers based on prices established
  • Keep track of open A/R, verify when invoices have been paid
  • Track and record all freight movement, reconcile adjustments for month-end inventory.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Approve all AP invoices for product freight and cold storages
  • Maintain current knowledge of reporting requirements associated with production for all government entities
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Professional Logistics experience and/or Seafood Industry knowledge is preferred, but not required. Significant working knowledge and technical skills of MS Office Suite (specifically Excel and Outlook) is strongly preferred. This position requires the ability to represent the company in a professional manner and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to learn quickly, remain flexible, and work well in a collaborative team environment is a must, as well as a high regard for accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

In order to successfully perform the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to effectively remain in a stationary position for long periods of time, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, communicate with others in person and over the phone, and move about inside the office. This position requires the ability to sit, effectively use hands and fingers, talk and listen, reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Occasionally this position may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is also a requirement.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and florescent lighting. It requires the regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Travel to other rural communities, Anchorage, and other states is required via aircraft of varying sizes. Some travel may require staying overnight. During travel, employee may be required to board vessels of varying size and function.
