Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Freight Associate to join our team. This role is primarily focused on handling inbound and outbound LTL freight, while also supporting general warehouse operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and values teamwork.


Primary Responsibilities (Freight Processing)

  • Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling 
  • Receive, verify, and stock inbound LTL freight accurately 
  • Pull, palletize, strap, and wrap outbound freight orders 
  • Process shipments, including generating labels, Bills of Lading, and selecting carriers 
  • Obtain freight quotes and coordinate shipping methods 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized loading dock area 
  • Support additional freight-related tasks as directed by management 

Secondary Responsibilities (General Warehouse)

  • Perform daily stocking and organization throughout the warehouse 
  • Assist with order picking, packing, and checking (parcel and customer pickups) 
  • Support weekly inventory counts and inventory accuracy efforts 
  • Rotate and organize inventory to maintain proper stock flow (FIFO) 
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the facility 



Requirements

  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively in English 
  • Comfortable learning warehouse and shipping systems 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company procedures 
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality 
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior forklift experience (or ability to become certified) 
  • At least 1 year of warehouse or inventory experience 
  • Familiarity with modern warehouse operations 
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and move heavier loads with equipment 
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day 
  • Capability to safely operate equipment and remain alert during shifts 
Salary Description
$17.00-$19.00 per hour
