About the Role We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Traffic Specialist to coordinate container loads from availability to final delivery. This role acts as the key operational link between customers, carriers, terminals, and steamship lines, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is accurate in the Landstar TMS system.
Key Responsibilities
• Trace and track import/export containers daily, confirm availability, and report delays.
• Verify ERD and cut-off dates to avoid shut-outs and extra charges.
• Monitor port and customs status to prevent demurrage.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments and confirm warehouse requirements.
• Dispatch drivers and send rate confirmations with complete instructions.
• Provide real-time updates and proactive customer service.
• Close loads in Landstar TMS with accurate documentation and billing references.
Must-Have Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of experience in similar logistics or traffic roles.
• English Advanced C1
• High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication with drivers, customers, and terminals.
• Knowledge of drayage processes, port operations, ERD, CUT dates, DOs, BLs, and bookings.
• Experience with TMS or equivalent systems.
