Within the Deliver Organization, the Logistics Buyer & Planner – VAS Components and DC Supplies is responsible for the procurement and planning of:
a) Bill of Material (BOM) components required to execute Value Added Services (VAS), and
b) Distribution Center (DC) supplies necessary to support the distribution of goods.
In addition to planning and buying activities, this role is accountable for related reporting and for driving continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and supply chain processes.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Execute purchasing activities for VAS BOM components and Distribution Center supplies in alignment with demand plans and inventory targets.
- Create, maintain, and validate material master data, planning parameters, and supplier information to ensure system accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and supplier performance; take corrective actions to prevent shortages, excess inventory, or service disruptions.
- Place and manage purchase orders, track order confirmations, and follow up on deliveries to ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) performance.
- Analyse demand and consumption trends to support forecasting, replenishment, and capacity planning activities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, quality, finance, and customer service) to resolve supply, quality, or delivery issues.
- Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, service, inventory, and process efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports on inventory, service levels, supplier performance, and spend.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory and supply chain requirements.
- Contribute to projects related to system enhancements, process optimization, and operational excellence.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross functional teams and organizational levels.
- 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or material planning roles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar), preferably for purchasing, planning, and material master data management.
- Strong capability in data analysis and reporting, including Excel and standard supply chain KPIs (e.g. inventory turns, lead times, component availability, costs).
- Fluency in Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages in a professional business environment.
