Location: Hybrid in Jacksonville (Tuesday and Wednesday in office)
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8-5pm
Salary range: $21-$24 per hour, depending upon experience

What work will you perform?Coordinate daily activities within a department. Respond to inquiries that arise. Work with multiple parties, both internally and externally, to ensure smooth operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure that customs brokerage entries are filed properly and agents/employees are managing them in accordance with company policies and procedures
Maintain and keep current all customs compliance documentation
Process documents through the company’s ABI (Automated Broker Interface) /ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) system, obtaining Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate
Perform customs clearance and/or cross border processing (Canada and/or Mexico) on behalf of Landstar Agents and their importer/exporter customers through the EDI Software
Advise customers on import and export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements, quotas or other customs related matters
Post bonds for the products being imported or assist clients in obtaining bonds
Quote duty and tax rates on goods to be imports, based on federal tariffs and excise taxes
Communicate with US Customs and complete requests for additional information from US Customs
Ensure customs activities and documentation are compliance with all applicable government agencies
Required Minimum Experience and Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
3 years Transportation experience
Preferred Skills:
Customs Brokerage Certification (CCS)

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Microsoft 365 and Internet knowledge
